This kit requires a proficient level of soldering to be completed (or use it as a learning experience :) With our custom control system, every kit comes pre-programmed so you're ready to fight once the last piece is attached. Want to make some changes? No problem. Dive into our open source firmware for a hackable experience. In addition, all customers will have access to our Combat Robotics forum for support and discussion.

Doing the education version? Students will challenge themselves to the next level of robotics as they continue their learning from the PokeyBots Program. They will dive into advanced CAD modeling that integrates physics, mathematics, and creativity into a battle robot where their design directly affects their competition performance, control, and durability. Additional skills such as soldering will also be taught. Parents must be okay with the use of heating elements and power tools while the appropriate safety precautions are taken.
